The classic VegTrug brings the grow-your-own experience to gardeners regardless of means or space. It’s the best of both worlds; the V-shape simultaneously allows for shallow and deep growth letting you grow absolutely anything, all at once and without wasting space. The raised height saves your back and gives those who need it easy-seated or wheelchair access. It’s height also keeps the average garden pest away from your beloved plants. Constructed with 100% FSC certified wood and measuring 183 cm (L) x 80cm (H) x 76 cm (D), the V-shape and liner holds 420 litres of compost and allows for proper aeration and drainage of your root systems. Because of its unique and proven design, the Veg Trug results in stronger plants, thicker growth, healthier crops, and unbeatable fresh flavour.
The VegTrug is manufactured from 100% FSC certified Cunninghamia lanceolata which is a member of the cypress family. We use this type of wood as it naturally repels pests, fungus and rot. Treated with a food-safe, water-based preservative that ensures wood is long-lasting. Pre-formed, biodegradable liner included.

What can you grow? We recommend growing what you like to eat! VegTrugs are great for growing all sorts of fruit and vegetable plants and we can advise doing some research before planting to plan what you would like to grow. We recommend growing dwarf varieties (smaller plants) where possible to make the most of your space in the VegTrug.
Does the wood need to be treated? We recommend treating VegTrug wooden products annually from date of purchase with a food-safe, water-based preservative that ensures wood is long-lasting.
Does the liner need replacing? Due to the liners’ biodegradability, it is recommended you replace your liner every two-three years. Made of biodegradable fabric.
