Recommended Application rate: 1kg/100 sq.ft., 1tsp/1 sq.ft.
Spring Planting (Summer and Fall flowering bulbs, perennials, Bare Roots):
For small plantings (only one/two items) dig hole, loosen soil, and add ½ to 1 teaspoon of fertilizer. Mix well into soil. Do not add fertilizer directly on the roots or bulbs. For larger planting areas, 5 tablespoons per ten square feet is a good guide and making sure the fertilizer is mixed in well with the loosened soil. The following spring, repeat again using the same quantity guidelines and mixing well into loosened soil a few centimetres below ground level. Avoid fertilizing during or directly after flowering. Fertilize 2-3 times over the growing season, at least one month apart.
Fall Planting (Spring flowering bulbs & roots):
For small plantings (only one/two items) dig hole, loosen soil, and add ½ to 1 teaspoon of fertilizer. Mix well into soil. Do not add fertilizer directly on the roots or bulbs. For larger planting areas, 5 tablespoons per ten square feet is a good guide and make sure the fertilizer is mixed in well with the loosened soil. The following spring, as soon as they break dormancy, you can fertilize again. Sprinkle lightly into loosened soil down for the first few centimetres below ground level.
