Their goal is to assist Kenyan farmers in becoming more self-reliant in agricultural food production. Together, they develop small-scale, practical agricultural projects, focusing on direct, person-to-person interaction, with little or no government structure. Veseys is proud to support Farmers Helping Farmers with monetary and seed donations.
The QEH Foundation helps the Queen Elizabeth Hospital family provide the best care possible to residents and visitors of Prince Edward Island through the purchase of priority medical equipment. Veseys is a proud sponsor of the QEH foundation.
Veseys Seeds Ltd is very pleased to announce that they have taken over the publishing rights for “My PEI Cabbage Cookbook” authored by Ann Thurlow. As a result of this book’s popularity, Ann felt that she needed a capable partner to handle the day-to-day printing and distribution requirements. As part of this agreement between Ann and Veseys, 20% of all sales of the publication are donated to Blooming House – a women’s shelter located in Charlottetown. This is a gracious donation by the author Ann Thurlow and Veseys is very proud to continue this donation for the life of the publication. The first such royalty of $12,000 was presented recently to the delight and appreciation of the good folks at Blooming House.
Veseys Trials Team have made it their mission to have less food waste from our trial gardens. A by-product of the trial and evaluation process is left over fresh produce. We offer this produce to our staff and then deliver what is left to either the Charlottetown Community Fridge or Upper Room Hospitality (Charlottetown Food Bank).
