Growing Information
Planting:
Sow in early spring as you would spinach. Germination is slow and requires a soil temperature of 10-21 degrees C. Plant 1⁄4 inches deep, 2 inches apart in rows 12-18 inches. Thin to 2 inches apart. Reseed every 10-14 days for long season harvest.
Growing:
Use an area with full sun to partial shade and soil pH of 6.0-7.0. Arugula will grow well in any rich garden soil.
Harvest:
Cut or pick rosettes at 21⁄2 inches high.
Pests & Diseases:
Rarely troubled by insects or diseases. Use row cover to prevent flea beetle damage.
Companions: Other salad greens, lettuce, chard, beets.
